Commercial Assistant

Commercial Assistants support management with commercial tasks and communication with business associates. They conduct commercial and organisational duties and can work in almost every sector.

The language in teaching is mainly German.

Expert in company and office management

As Commercial Assistant you take on duties in various parts of companies. As part of this you will work in diverse industries and economic sectors. Using modern IT as well as application software, you will actively participate and support commercial, administrative levels of operation. On the basis of your professional training with a focus on commerce and office management, you are not only part of company decision-making processes but independently carry out routine tasks transferred to you in a sovereign, customer and quality focused manner. To do so, you will cooperate internally with heads of departments and projects, key decision makers and management as well as externally with customers and business associates.

Training programme

The traineeship takes two years, including an internship over several weeks. During the traineeship, all necessary content is covered to enable an immediate progression into a career and the workforce. Lessons take place from Monday to Friday. The final exam is conducted in a decentralised manner at GPB College and results in a final certificate titled "state approved Commercial Assistant".

Career prospects

Commercial Assistants can find job opportunities in various sectors. As such, you can carry out tasks in the area of secretaries and assistants, sales, purchasing, human resources, accounting and information processing. In doing so, you are engaging in company planing and management, carry out general office tasks or schedule appointments, business trips, as well as internal and external events.
