The language in teaching is mainly German.

Purchasing of Goods, Sales and Warehouse Management

Wholesale and foreign trade management clerks specialising in wholesale trade buy goods of all kinds from manufacturers or suppliers on national and international markets and resell them to trade, craft and industry. They are in close contact with customers and provide customers with comprehensive advice on the properties of the goods and are responsible for on-time delivery. In addition, you determine sources of supply and demand for the purchase of goods. You obtain new offers, compare conditions and negotiate with vendors on purchasing. After receiving goods, you check invoices and delivery documents and ensure that they are stored properly. In goods issue, you plan the outbound delivery and make the goods ready for shipping. They also calculate prices, process sales orders and issue invoices.

Training programme

Training as a management assistant in wholesale and foreign trade management takes three years. In the first and second year of training, you will learn the theoretical basics for wholesale management assistants. In the third year of training you will apply this knowledge in an 18-month internship and expand your knowledge in practice.

The training is held between Monday and Friday. You will conclude the training course with an examination at the Berlin Chamber of Industry and Commerce.
